About the venue

Butchers’ Hall is a wedding venue in the heart of the City of London, nestled in the new Barts Square development. Butcher's Hall offers a unique blend of first-class modern facilities alongside lovely and fascinating historical features. Featuring high ceilings, sweeping staircase, light filled spaces and a roof garden, here you and your guests can be part of London’s remarkable history as you celebrate a day filled with moments you’ll remember and treasure forever.

Facilities and Capacity

Butchers’ Hall is fully licensed for wedding ceremonies and receptions.

The Hall has five event spaces:

The Great Hall – up to 170 guests for a wedding breakfast and up to 200 for a civil ceremony. It features beautiful stained-glass windows and 19th-century chandeliers.

The Court Rooms – up to 80 guests for a wedding breakfast and up to 130 for a civil ceremony. It features a white marble fireplace made in Paris in 1794. It can be partitioned into two distinct event spaces, one larger and one smaller.

The Reception Area – up to 150 guests. It boasts a magnificent grand staircase.

The Mezzanine Floor – up to 14 guests for an intimate wedding breakfast.

The Roof Garden – up to 80 guests and affords spectacular views of the City.

St Bartholomew the Great

Butchers’ Hall also enjoys a partnership with The Priory Church of St Bartholomew the Great, London’s oldest parish church. St Bartholomew the Great is located only 50 yards from Butchers’ Hall, at the end of a lovely arched passageway. Please contact us if you wish to arrange your wedding at the Church prior to a reception at the Hall.
