About the room
The Mayor’s Parlour is a truly unique room at the Town Hall for up to 4 guests, and features hand-painted stained glass windows, oak panelling and is furnished luxuriously in classic red leather and velvet.
A place where many dignitaries have been received and entertained over the years, and the ceremonial office of the Mayor of Islington to this day, we are able to offer this room on Fridays and Saturdays with the gracious permission of the Mayor.
The centre-piece of the room is the built-in ornately carved fireplace featuring the Islington crest, in front of which you make your vows. The mayoral robes, tricorn hat, and diplomatic gifts presented to the Mayor from around the world are on display, and holding your ceremony here will add even more history to this special room.
For those seeking an intimate ceremony in a grand setting, there could be no better choice than the Mayor's Parlour.
