How do we arrange an outdoor ceremony?
In April 2022, outdoor civil marriages and civil partnerships became legally possible at licenced venues.
This means that a venue like a hotel, restaurant or museum can apply for a ceremonies licence that includes an outdoor area like a garden or roof terrace, and once this granted, ceremonies can take place outdoors.
At this time, Islington and London City only has one venue with a licenced outdoor area, South Place Hotel. Click here for more information on this venue.
Could our ceremony at the Town Hall take place outdoors?
Unfortunately, Islington Town Hall does not have suitable outdoor space for ceremonies to take place in, so we will not be able to offer this option.
