Please find below our most frequently asked questions about holding ceremonies outdoors
In April 2022, outdoor civil marriages and civil partnerships became legally possible at licenced venues.
This means that a venue like a hotel, restaurant or museum can apply for a ceremonies licence that includes an outdoor area like a garden or roof terrace, and once this granted, ceremonies can take place outdoors.
We have several venues in Islington and London City which have licenced outdoor areas.
Unfortunately, Islington Town Hall does not have suitable outdoor space for ceremonies to take place in, so we will not be able to offer this option.
